Whether the Stairmaster is your go-to gym gadget or your cardio foe, it’s time to step up for the third annual River to Rooftop fundraising event. Annoying elevator jingles and smashing the ‘close door’ button be gone, because you’re heading to the top and there’s only one way to get there.
Climb all 1,040 stairs in Brisbane’s iconic ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street building to raise money for the Women’s Legal Service Queensland so they can help women and children escape domestic and family violence. Each year WLSQ provides over 30,000 services to women and children but many more are unable to receive help due to funding constraints. However, you can make the difference step by step.

Last year, the River to Rooftop event raised a whopping $121,327 – a full $11,000 above their original goal – and this year they have their eyes set on bigger heights with a target of $130,000. Slap on a Fitbit to test your own fitness, get on your marks to race against a friend or wrangle the office crowd away from their desks to climb for a cause. And if your thighs are burning, your breaths are heaving and you’re looking for wings on your shoes, remember you’re also competing for fabulous prizes!
Tickets are $45 per person with an early bird registration discount available from February 14-28 so step to it.
