One of the few remaining “movie stars” finally has his acting Oscar. Brad Pitt won his second statue for his role as Cliff Booth in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.” The Best Supporting Actor win was on his fourth acting nomination. He won his first Academy Award as a producer for Best Picture winner “12 Years A Slave” in 2014.

A star since his breakout role in Ridley Scott’s “Thelma & Louise,” Pitt earned his first Oscar nomination in the same Supporting Actor category in 1996 for “12 Monkeys.” 13 years later he earned his second nod in the Best Actor race for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and his third nomination was for his leading role in 2012’s “Moneyball.”
As a producer, he’s also been nominated for “Moneyball” and “The Big Short.”
It’s been quite a run for Pitt who also won the Golden Globe, SAG Award and BAFTA for his performance in Quentin Tarantino’s “ninth” film.
